A growing interest emerges in event extraction which aims to extract multiple events with triggers and arguments. Previous methods mitigate the problem of multiple events extraction by predicting the arguments conditioned on the event trigger and event type, assuming that these arguments belong to a single event. However, the assumption is invalid in general as there may be multiple events. Therefore, we present a unified framework called MatEE for trigger-sharing events extraction. It resolves the kernel b

We present Switch-BERT for joint vision and language representation learning to address this problem. Switch-BERT extends BERT architecture by introducing learnable layer-wise and cross-layer interactions. It learns to optimize attention from a set of attention modes representing these interactions. One specific property of the model is that it learns to attend outputs from various depths, therefore mitigates the modality mismatch problem.

We propose a novel and flexible backbone framework, namely CBNetV2, to construct high-performance detectors using existing open-sourced pre-trained backbones under the pre-training fine-tuning paradigm. In particular, CBNetV2 architecture groups multiple identical backbones, which are connected through composite connections. Specifically, it integrates the high- and low-level features of multiple backbone networks and gradually expands the receptive field to more efficiently perform object detection.
