All-Party Parliamentary Group for Education
An All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) is a group of parliamentarians, from all parties and from both Houses, formed to discuss a subject in which members have a common interest and enthusiasm.
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Education is chaired by Marcus Fysh MP and it aims to maintain a dialogue between the education sector and Parliament to support improvements to the education system. The Group has taken interest in the vast changes being introduced across the education sphere. In the last Parliament, the Group hosted Nick Gibb MP for a discussion of the usefulness of the term ‘coasting schools’, heard from Sir Michael Wilshaw, examined the effectiveness of STEM education and early year
