I am an emeritus professor of property and construction management. O ver the last ten years my work on the impact of the value of the built environment within society has led me to study the connection between the physical design of schools and pupils’ academic progress (freely available information, reports and papers are available on a separate dedicated site  on Clever Classrooms). This focus led to me becoming an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Education at Oxford University from 2016-22.
