ZEDA was established to promote greater awareness and interaction amongst Zaria indigenes for the purpose of uplifting the educational standard of the area, to create a high powered autonomous Board of Trustees which shall be responsible for the management of the Association's development funds, programmes and projects and to do any other thing possible and as may be required from time to time to improve the lots of Zaria people.
