The founder of this Organization is His Grace Mar Joseph Powathil and the movement was inaugurated by Mar. Antony Padiyara at Kallarackal HalI, S. B.College Changanacherry. Yuvadeepti- SMYM is the youth apostolate of Changanacherry Archdiocese. Yuvadeepti is a part of KCYM – Kerala Catholic Youth Movement, which is affiliated to ICYM – Indian Catholic Youth Movement.
