“Let’s start with the boilerplate: ‘What is Ypsmael? A shadowy figure creating analog, experimental electronic music, mostly noise with ambient touches. Their real name is not known and they don’t consider themselves a musician. They apparently hide out in Baden-Wurttemberg and as such seem to display a stereotypical German “coolness’, not hip but cold, free of emotion.’This cassette release comprises 9 compositions consisting of low-intensity soundscapes.
