After an extended period of 'radio silence', we have an update from Wynntown - we have a new drummer! We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Simon Walker for all his hard work and for his commitment in the drumstool over the last couple of years but, with a new record in the making, it felt like the right time for a change and we're delighted to announce that Brendan O'Brien has joined the fold.
Brendan also drums in The Sunshine Delay alongside our bassist Dave, so they already speak the same 'language'. The mutual understanding they have and the way they work together is so natural, instinctive, and refreshing to behold. Good times!
So, over the past few weeks, it's been our job to teach this particular old dog (haha) a few new tricks in terms of familiarising him with our unique (and, some might say, 'pernickety') approach to playing our back catalogue and knocking new songs into shape. We're delighted to say that the band is sounding fantastic! Better than ever.
