The Miami Beach Woman’s Club is the city’s newest and most unique venue. Tucked into the intimately beautiful Collins Park neighborhood, the Club serves as a multi-purpose event space, with the capacity to host a wide variety of functions both indoor and outdoor. Its' original Miami Mediterranean style circa 1933 has been thoughtfully and beautifully renovated. In the wake of the devastating 1926 hurricane, some of Miami Beach’s most renowned and influential women established the Miami Beach Woman’s Club with the intent of fostering neighborly friendship and community. Renowned novelist and founding President, Mrs. Clayton Sedgwick Cooper stated in her founding speech, "Let us be all inclusive, and know no North or South or East or West, nor caste, but include all in our friendships."
The members originally met at the home of the founding president, but Miami Beach real estate promoter, Carl G. Fisher so appreciated the women’s efforts to create a culturally rich community that in 1927 he donated the site to build a clubhouse. In 1933 ground was broken on the beautiful Mediterranean style venue, where the building still stands today.
