Being only a two hour train trip from Frankfurt this was a perfect weekend trip. My goals for the weekend were to explore some of the long history of Nurnberg and to experience the world famous Christmas Market (a full post on German Christmas Markets coming soon).
I left early on Saturday and arrived before 11am. The Hauptbanhof (Main Station) is very close to the Old Town so I first wandered around a little bit to get a feel of the town. I also found my hotel and dropped my bag off.
After a little walk, I had a quick lunch of the famous Nürnberg sausages.
