Hello. I'm Paul. I took these photos. I hope you like them. I'm not a professional photographer. While I do occasionally get paid for my photos, it is not my career (but not for lack of trying, well, trying as hard as a married man in his early to mid-thirties with 2 kids and a mortgage can try to change careers while still providing for his family) .
While I don't take as many photos as I used to, when I do, I use a Canon 1Ds, with a (now broken) Canon 50mm f/1.4 (and now) a Canon 85mm f/1.8, sometimes a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L, rarely a Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L and when I want to impress people, a Canon TS 24mm f/3.5. I have a four White Lightning strobe lights, reflectors, tripods, timers, backdrops, filters and all the usual stuff that a photographer should have. It cost a lot (because, as I said, I thought I might become a professional).
I've had many wonderful opportunities because of photography — whether it was through growing a beard , staging elaborate conceptual shoots for my church , capturing the biggest day of a couples life , shooting the Cincinnati Bengals , goofing around with my comedian friends or pretending that I'm an aging Superhero — I've had many unimaginable and incredible opportunities in my life.
