Description: The Wigan 10k will take place on 1st September 2024, with proceeds going to Joining Jack.
THE fourth Wigan 10k road race, which took place on the 4th of September 2016, saw more than 3,600 runners registering to take part – a new record surpassing our previous best total of 3,450 in 2015 and over 1,000 more than our incredible inaugural event in 2013.
The race was started by our very own Jack Johnson from the event’s organising charity Joining Jack alongside two of the town’s most popular sporting heroes Josh Charnely and Sam Tomkins from Wigan Warriors RLFC. And the event saw crowds of supporters flocking to the town centre to enjoy the live stage entertainment provided by a host of local bands and finished off by Starsailor frontman James Walsh – an incredible coup for our event in only its fourth year.
