Dec 19: We've started collecting signatures for the town meeting article petition.
The Select Board said they appreciate that the permanent reroute has widespread community support, but regardless did not want to place the issue on the town meeting ballot themselves.
They suggested we do the petition over again, but this time as formal town meeting article petition. For that we need 5% of the South Hero voters (~70 signatures). However the town won't accept online signatures, so we'll be doing this the old fashioned way with a paper petition. It has to be submitted to the Town by January 23.
