Whelprigg House is a William IV country house in the 'Jacobethan' style situated in the old county of Westmorland, a few miles from the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. It occupies a prominent position overlooking the Lune Valley and commands some very fine views, especially to the West.
With its spacious rooms and extensive grounds, it provides the ideal setting for group holidays and special events.
Originally, Whelprigg House was a farmhouse built around 1700, but the majot part of the building dates from 1834. There was a small addition in about 1900. It is a grade II listed building and is a member of the Historic Houses Association .
