Providing support to teachers serving the communities of Chatham and Harwich to enhance their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm.
The purpose of the Westgate Teachers Fellowship Fund is to expand the horizons of tenured teachers in the subject areas in which they have been teaching and intend to teach in the Monomoy Regional School District or at Cape Cod Teach. Funds are used primarily for independent studies, and occasionally for graduate level studies, often at foreign universities.
Pie Friendly was a founder of the Westgate Teachers Fellowship Fund in 1989 and served it faithfully for 33 years. Her vivacity and fundraising acumen have been key to its success. We would not be where we are without her.
