Description: One of the UK's largest field hockey clubs, Wapping HC is an ambitious, fun, inclusive place to play. Based in East London (home pitches in Stratford, Newham and Wapping, Tower Hamlets) it has 10 men's teams, 7 women's teams, 2 mixed teams, a youth/kids section and beginners sessions. We play in the National League, London League, have a buzzing social scene and are all round good vibes.
Wapping has seven ladies’ teams and ten mens’ teams who compete in the National and London Leagues , as well as mixed and social games throughout the year. From National League to complete beginner, we play, support, and socialise together.
We also have an incredible youth section, with some members now playing in our top teams, and run Back To Hockey sessions specifically for those who have never played (or haven’t for a while).
Started in 2016, Wapping Kidds was the first inner London hockey club for school age children. We are extremely honoured to offer a youth section, have around 100 children playing with us each week, and are excited to continue growing ‘Kidds’ as part of our mission of inclusion and improving access to sport.
