Welcome to the site of the Elk Grove – Florin Amateur Radio Club. This site is designed to inform you of upcoming events that will take place shortly. We will post information that you will be interested in, such as future meeting times and places, and any pertinent information resulting from prior meetings.
The first meeting took place on Saturday, November 12th, 2011, in the south Sacramento area. Followed by a meeting on Saturday, December 10th, and a subsequent meeting on January 14th. The Bylaws were voted on, and the Board was given authority by those in attendance to choose officers. On Saturday, February 11th, 2012, the Board members presented their positions and were voted in by attending members.
Since then we have been growing, and turnout has been great. We have a lot of information to teach and share. Field Day this year was great, and we look forward to next year. If you are checking us out, we invite you to attend one of our monthly meetings. We welcome anyone, even if you don’t have a license yet. There are plenty of people willing to help you learn, and you could find an Elmer.
