We are nonprofit volunteer gardening organization with over 200 clubs and more than 5200 members across the state of Virginia. The VFGC was founded March 16, 1933 and incorporated on June 8, 1966.
VFGC provides educational opportunities in all aspects of gardening and floral design. We promote community beautification, encourages the improvement of roadsides and parks, and aide in the protection and conservation of natural resources.
VFGC is the state affiliate of the National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC), a nonprofit educational organization composed of 6950 member garden clubs with approximately 200,000 members in the fifty states and 447 international affiliates, making NGC the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world.
