Angel was found panic -stricken and howling near Ocotillo Elementary School in Palmdale in early May. He had no tags, no microchip, was underweight and was not neutered. Flyers were placed at the local shelters and he was posted on Nextdoor, Craigslist, Pawboost and the Facebook rescue pages for the Antelope Valley.
A lead developed when a woman posted a photo on Next Door of Angel from two days prior to his being found and was nearly 2 miles away at David Millen Jr. High School 2 days earlier. She and others had not been able to catch him but she had taken the picture. That means in two days, little 8 lb Angel had run 2 miles in the heat trying to figure out what was going on.
