An award-winning journalist and son of a cinematographer, Vlad has spent his entire life around film, video, and the graphic arts. It began with a close call with rock stardom in the late ’80s and then took a slight turn. After obtaining his Journalism Diploma from Mount Royal College in Calgary, Vlad spent the better part of the ’90s working as a writer, editor, graphic designer and photographer.
In 1999, he turned his attention to video and became part owner of an award-winning recording studio where he produced several television pilots, co-hosted a syndicated radio show, and shot and edited numerous television commercials as well as corporate and music videos.
Vlad was mentored by Emmy Award-winning producer/editor David McIlvride during a number of projects including a six-hour documentary on Mt. Everest for Discovery Channel (currently available on Prime Video ). He then went on to produce, shoot and edit several television shows. Vlad joined Inca Networks , a German-owned video transcoder company, in 2016 where he learned the intricacies of marketing to broadcast engineers. Vlad spent several years working with Inca , eventually opening a European Deli with hi
