The Swoop Troupe was founded at the University of North Florida under the name “The Musical Theatre Club” in the Fall of 2016 by two Freshmen students, Dominik Tajti and Madeline Aquino. As a nursing student and a biomedical sciences student respectively, they had come to UNF for their excellent science programs, despite the lack of a theatre presence on campus. They decided to start the Musical Theatre Club that year, putting on flash mobs in the student union and an end of the year showcase. The following
