This lab combines (1) virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), (2) wearable devices such as full-body haptic feedback and biometry tracking suits, and (3) motion-base systems to create immersive, Extended Reality (XR) piloted flight simulations. Research topics include human-machine interaction, innovative pilot cueing methods, and advanced flight control laws.
In its first year, the lab was awarded over $1.1M in federally funded research by NASA, the US Army, and the US Navy. Thank you to our sponsors!
