The first step is to make sure you are aware of the medical requirements for obtaining a commercial driver’s license . You will need to complete an examination and provide proof of good health in order to be eligible for your license. Once you have all the necessary paperwork, it is important that you schedule your DOT physical at least two weeks in advance and that you allow yourself plenty of time on the day of the exam.
