Her research draws on the principles of cognitive science and machine learning to understand and improve AI-assisted human decision-making. Her work is broadly motivated by two questions: 1) how humans incorporate algorithmic advice in their decision-making? and 2) how can we help humans develop trust calibrated to an algorithm's ability?
