I have only been flying a few times a month lately, as I started a new career with a new Company recently and have been extremely busy. However, when the weather is as nice as it has been lately I can’t help but sneak in a few flights! I have taken a few short flight to Fredericksburg with friends and try to stay current by flying whenever I can fit it in.
Still here and still flying! I just forget about this site since I am so busy. N831KT had a complete engine overhaul and after a few flights all of the squawks were taken care of. She has so much more power now! Of course in the heat of July the only trips I want to make are long distance trips so I can get nice and high….and cool! I flew my Dad and kid down to Port Aransas for breakfast a few weeks ago and it was HOT on the ground. Nice flying though.
I sure have been ignoring this site! Anyway, airplane went in for annual inspection October of 2021 and it was discovered that the camshaft on the engine is worn. TBO is 2000 and we are at 1950 hours. Looks like Lycoming know what they are talking about. Needless to say, it will be a few months before she is back in the air.
