Transylvania Bioarchaeology aims to offer opportunities for high-quality training and research within Transylvania and associated regions, and to assist the wider community in understanding and appreciating the rich the potential of bioarchaeology as achieved through systematic and ethical investigations of the archaeological record. 

The organization's main objectives are to provide high-quality education and training, conduct research and disseminate information through academic and public channels; preserve and interpret the bioarchaeological record in meaningful and insightful ways; and the share the benefits of Transylvania culture and community with wider audiences.

Finally, the collective endeavours to support the education and research interests of students, particularly marginalised and Indigenous groups, who wish to expand their knowledge and/or skills in bioarchaeology and human osteology, and offers students opportunities (mentorship and sponsorship) to undertake their own research in the field.
