at a designated location before election day. In my state, I can vote as early as October 15th, at some strip mall by Lowes. Other states begin earlier. Early voting should not be confused with mail in or what used to be ‘absentee voting.’ It used to be that in order to qualify for a absentee ballot you needed to be military deployed, out of your home state or sick and unable to go to the polls on election day. Voting used to be a huge, a proud rite of passage, and a touted civic responsibility.
