The work that you see here represents a wide variety of exploration and a search to develop a voice and a point of view in the world of abstract oil painting. To be recognized for this is to attain a continuation of the journey we all participate in life, I think. We all have different journeys. We all experience different methods of achievement.
I paint a lot like my mother cooked. A little of this and a little of that...whatever was in the refrigerator. She had very little fear of trying something new and always encouraged me to explore. Over a period of time learning to paint, I hope I have learned to have no preconceived notions of what happens on the canvas. Today the moon is blue, tomorrow it is red.
"Abstraction allow a man to see with his mind what he cannot see with his eyes...Abstract art enables the artist to perceive beyond what is tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite. It is the emancipation of the mind. It is the exploration into the unknown areas.
