Tomas first encountered the Science Fiction genre when he watched the Czech movie Ikarie-XB1 (based on the novel by Polish SF author Stanislaw Lem). He was terrified, he had nightmares long after that, but at the same time, he was deeply fascinated.
Since then, he literally devoured every SciFi title available in Czechoslovakia at that time (the choice was quite limited in those communist times). After the revolution in 1989, he got his first chance to meet the Fantasy genre, and it was love at fist sight.
Influenced by Andrzej Sapkowski, Robert Merle, Stanislaw Lem, Strugacki brothers, children’s comics and other literary role models, he began to write himself.
