I am the Director of Admissions at VinUniversity . Prior to this current position, I served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Head of the Department of Linguistics at Hoa Sen University . I received my PhD in Linguistics f rom the University of Massachusetts Amherst and my BA in English and Linguistics from the University of Minnesota .
My research interests lie at the interfaces of syntax, semantics, psycholinguistics, and computational linguistics. I use a range of experimental methodologies, statistical modeling techniques, and computational tools to investigate how humans encode and retrieve linguistic information, as well as how this information can inform the way we teach language to computers. My recent work has focused on text mining, pronoun resolution, temporal reference, and processing complexity in Vietnamese and English.
