By the time I realized my wife had gone back to California I was submerging my feelings in alcohol and drugs to the extent that it stopped deadening the pain and despair. My emotions overruled the state of mind that alcohol and drugs had on me. So I called my dad who had no clue what I was involved in. You see I had a business partnership with my dad as a locksmith and security consultant managing major accounts throughout the State of Hawaii generating finances to afford a lucrative lifestyle. I stayed in treatment for about 30 days. Upon my departure and returning to my lifestyle, I immediately gravitated to the support meetings in the community. I attended daily, went to sober social gatherings, round ups, camp outs and continued to fellowship with other recovering alcoholics and addicts.
