In my research, I ran across Costa Rica on several “Places to go in 2018” lists. Aha – requirements met! We’d determined our next destination. As is with many travel destinations, time of year is an important consideration. Our trip was in August, which is considered the “down season” as it is rainy season, but not quite yet the worst of it. Rainy season begins in May and lasts throughout November.
