Because even healers need healing sometimes.
The Healers Health Collective was established in 2020 by Dr Emily Amos, a GP who wanted to take her own experience of burnout and create a space to open up conversations of compassionate self reflection and vulnerability amongst those of us who work in healthcare. A place to highlight our common humanity and to bring awareness to the fact that none of us are immune to facing challenges in our lives and just because we work to heal others doesn’t mean that we don’t ever need support or healing ourselves.
Beginning life as a resource hub and with the hope that health professionals might find this page of service in their own journeys of rediscovery, always with the goal that from this humble beginning a wonderful resource would grow. Now, exciting things are being planned to bring together and support all health professionals in finding joy and meaning in their work and connection with each other.
