The Decency Foundation is transforming agriculture by providing affordable loans to small business farmers, to be used for on-farm processing and related financial and operational benefits. Using our Nu Metric assessment tool to provide qualitative and quantitative measurement, our loans and project management - Nu Ag - will transform farmers’ businesses with a particular focus on finance, sustainability, and well-being for the workers, the surrounding community, and the animals from which we are nourished.
With the food and agriculture sector as our foundational focus, our vision goes beyond. The Nu Metric – reflecting our Values-Based Mission – is designed to measure and monitor a company’s social impact in all areas of operations; our goal being to catalyze a meaningful and lasting shift toward decency in the ways in which business operates.
