Recently stumbled across this advert for Windows Phone from 2010. So well executed; the music choice is just perfect.
Sound designers actually create sounds from nothing. They’re just playing, they’re having fun. They’re going out and recording the most weird things that you could think of. And they take those raw sounds and manipulate ‘em and bend 'em and break 'em and turn 'em upside down, and see what they get.
Fascinating look at the importance of sound design in the Star Wars films. So many iconic sounds, created in such an experimental way. Wonderful.
