FIRST Robotics is a competition between teams that are made up of high school students who are tasked with creating a robot to accomplish a goal that changes annually. Some goals can vary from scoring balls in a goal to delivering cargo to a shuttle. These goals are indicative for real life problems that need to be solved, like delivering packages to rural or suburban areas or disaster relief. FIRST has had participants from over 30 countries and more than 3,000 teams.
