TCFA was established in 1975 to provide a strong and unified presence for the regulated consumer lending industry in Texas. The association supports and promotes licensed traditional installment lenders of all sizes making loans under Chapter 342, Subchapter F, Texas Finance Code.
TCFA believes Texans should have access to safe, structured, and responsible consumer loans, and encourages positive legislation and regulation to achieve that goal. TCFA works tirelessly to create, embrace, and protect a strong consumer lending market for the benefit of both consumers and responsible traditional installment lenders. The association pursues these goals through engagement with the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner and Texas Finance Commission, and through legislative and lobbying effort
We are always interested in attracting new membership from the traditional installment loan industry in Texas. Our united voice and active membership provides the strength to maintain, promote, and protect a responsible consumer lending industry.
