This text presents a systemic unit oriented approach to designing complex sociotechnical systems. Whereas the system concept is taken from the general system science , the unit concept is environment from enterprise engineering and unit oriented architecture . The goal is to provide systems designers with a simple way of composing purposeful agents into higher-level systemic constructs.
