Back in 1962 from a humble beginning, little was it realized the way the club would progress to its present size. The fact that some founder members are still involved today to see the transformation is testimony of their dedication.
For over 21 years Swords Celtic succeeded in fielding two senior teams and three youth teams. However, it soon became necessary to incorporate a youth policy to ensure a life-blood for the club.
