We are SWOC! Founded as the Seattle Westercon Organizing Committee in 1991, we sponsor and produce fandom conventions throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are an IRS 501(c)(3) exempt organization.
Our events and services include: Conflikt 13 , ConComCon 27 , Westercon 2020 , and the Bobbie DuFault Memorial Scholarship.
SWOC is delighted to announce that we have awarded a grant of $5000 to the Seattle Worldcon in 2025 bid. This grant will be used to promote, advertise, and recruit for the Seattle Worldcon Bid; to assist members of the bid in covering the costs of attending this year’s SMOFCon in Montréal; and to co-sponsor a night of the SMOFCon hospitality suite.
