Founded in 1903, Swisher is small town Iowa at its best. Located conveniently in Iowa's corridor, Swisher is off i380 between North Liberty and Cedar Rapids. The town was a stop on the former Crandic Railroad which ran from Cedar Rapids to Iowa City in the first half of the 20th century. Swisher is home to 914 residents as of the 2020 census .
