The Silicon Valley Clean Cities Coalition (SVCC) supports alternative fuel and innovative, clean technology to decrease dependence on oil and improve the air quality for all. This is achieved through education and collaboration with fuel consumers and policy makers.
We are a program of Breathe California of the Bay Area, Golden Gate, and Central Coast .
Ultimately, we aim to reduce our nation’s petroleum consumption by advancing the use of alternative fuels and advanced vehicles. Alternatives to gasoline and diesel include: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Ethanol (E85), Hydrogen, Battery-Electric Vehicles, Biodiesel, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG or Propane). Silicon Valley Clean Cities also encourages fuel blends, hybrids, fuel economy and idle reduction. There are over 90 different Department of Energy designated coalitions
