The ocean has always been my place of healing. Over the years, I’ve become more curious about the science and practice of surf therapy. I recently completed a Master’s in Counseling and have combined my experience as a surf coach with new learning to develop a Holistic Surf Coaching program that combines experiential and talk therapy with surf coaching to help women focus on their mental health while also improving their surfing.
I’m living a bit of a gypsy life these days, rotating through Northern CA, San Diego, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Peru, and Morocco visiting my loves while also offering holistic surf coaching opportunities.
Surfing is about so much more than the physical aspect of choosing a board, choosing a break, paddling out, popping up, and riding the wave. Of course all those things matter, but by only addressing those aspects, we’re ignoring all of the internal processes going on.
