Sun Valley Graffiti Busters, operated under the Sun Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, serves the Sun Valley, California community by removing unsightly graffiti, performing street clean ups, and assisting in the pick up and removal of bulk items and abandoned vehicles. The program is responsible for ensuring all graffiti in our assigned areas is removed. To accomplish this task, we interface with other agencies - Street Services, Cal Trans, and the various sign companies.
We remove graffiti using paint, chemicals (generally applied to signs, metal poles and other unpainted surfaces) and sand or water blasting for sidewalks, curbs, block walls, granite poles and streets. We also annually cut brush back to the guard rails on La Tuna Canyon and regularly assist in removing illegally dumped items. Other areas are cleaned based on need and the number of volunteers reporting for service on any specific date.
