The Sandy Hook shooting made many of us feel "we can't go on this way, something must be done."
There are those who believe that gun control is that something. While restrictions on assault weapons might help, weapons are not the main root of the problem. (Click here for a document that makes this point.) The main root is the abuse of the First Amendment to protect the training of murderers through violent entertainment. To end such abuse, a further amendment to the Constitution would be necessary.
