I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Future Mind and Department of Philosophy at Florida Atlantic University. I recently completed a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin .
One major area of my research investigates emotions. I argue that emotions give us reasons for actions and evaluative judgments. This informs how we ought (not) to manage emotions — our own and those of other people.
I am also interested in questions at the intersection of ethics and technology : S hould design artificial intelligence with emotional capacities ? How we should use emotion recognition technology? How do video games and social media affect our moral and epistemic character?
