I am an energy and environmental economist working on the role of energy in the economy and the drivers and mitigation of climate change and a professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University . I am associated with the Centre for Climate and Energy Policy and the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis . During 2020-21, I was the holder of a Francqui Chair at Hasselt University in Belgium.

I teach environmental economics and agricultural and resource economics. I am incoming co-editor of the Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics .
