To all my international friends: this is YOUR chance to #StandWithUkraine. HELP WHO AM I? I am a Ukrainian PhD student in History in Vienna, currently volunteering for Ukrainian army in Kyiv. Our team worked in Warsaw and Vilnius but now operates in Kyiv. I am a graduate of the Universities in Glasgow, Krakow, Tartu and Kyiv. In February of 2022, we created this volunteering grassroots initiative to support Ukrainian soldiers in the frontline.
Our team in Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, and Germany is crowdfunding money for defense equipment for Ukrainian army and territorial defense units in the frontline. At the moment we are also helping the students of the Invisible University for Ukraine (Winter help initiative) by providing them with power banks and generators to cope with the power cuts and blackouts happening in Ukraine after Russian shellings of critical infrastructure.
MONEY? We are buying supplies depending on the requests from army units and transfer them directly to units in the frontline. They need us and our support right now as they risk with their lives for our freedom.
