Both academically and professionally I have an extensive background in a wide range of both theoretical and real-world design, multimedia, training, social media and communications activities. These activities have included everything from developing written materials and presentations to working with journalists, producing videos, and creating a variety of online, print and social media campaigns. Recently, I have served as VP of Marketing for EcoDog, Inc., a startup in the CleanTech industry. We developed and marketed innovative products for home and solar energy management and shipped our first products in mid-2010. Unfortunately, the funding environment at that time did not allow the company to continue operations.
Because I enjoy working with students and keeping current with multimedia technology, I also served as an adjunct instructor in the Learning Design & Technology Department (formerly Educational Technology) at SDSU from 2005 until 2015. I have had the opportunity to participate in virtually all aspects of teaching and managing technology, social media and multimedia development courses, both online and on campus.
