Dave started his broadcasting career in the early 80’s for BBC Radio Medway (which later became BBC Radio Kent), presenting the mid-morning Show 9-11am Monday to Friday, and during this period he earned a reputation for having one of the most listened to soul shows in the U.K. He also worked for Radio Orwell & Saxon (now known as SGR FM) in East Anglia presenting Saturday’s 6-9pm ‘Boogie Down with Dave Brown’ and Sunday Lunchtimes. The show becoming very popular with Soul and R’n’B fans, and was listened to all over the world. From August 2008 Dave added artist interviews to his programming, including an array of artists from Leon Ware, Lalah Hathaway and Evelyn “Champagne” King to Robin Thicke, George Duke and Syleena Johnson and lots more.
