As the inventor of the Southwire Original Smart Box brand, we continue to offer new device boxes such as the SmarToggle box and the SmarTnail box to the electrical industry for the soul purpose of making life easier for the electrician and end user. These device boxes are designed to be flexible on the job site, user friendly, time and labor saving and to get the job done with a professional look.
Sometimes called a remodel box or toggle box. An old work electrical box can be inserted into an opening in the wall. The traditional toggle box attaches directly to the wall covering. The traditional screw on box attaches directly to a stud if available. Our SmarToggle box is designed to attach to either a wall covering or a stud or both. An old work box is the only way to add a box to an existing wall without tearing out a significant portion of the wall.
